Bandipora, May 17 (KNS) :A delegation led by the President of the Contractors Association Bandipora today met with Mr. Tirath Ram Khullar, Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC), Kashmir, to discuss pending liabilities under the Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) irrigation schemes.

The meeting was held to seek resolution of long-standing dues for works executed by contractors across various irrigation projects under AIBP. The delegation, comprising senior contractors and association members, highlighted the financial challenges faced by the contractor community due to delayed payments and sought immediate redress.

The Contractors Association President reiterated his continued support for the contractor community and appreciated the Chief Engineer’s responsiveness. He emphasised the need for transparent and timely resolution of all pending issues to ensure uninterrupted progress on vital public works.
