Tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors have flared intermittently in recent years, particularly after the Pahalgam terror attack. Diplomatic efforts for de-escalation have intensified since the two countries faced off.

The deal would mark a significant breakthrough in South Asian diplomacy and a major foreign policy development under Trump’s current administration.(KNS)
