AIP Launches Helpline Numbers for LoC Residents Amid Escalating Tensions

Srinagar, May 8 (KNS) : Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, marked by cross-border firing and heavy shelling incidents along the Line of Control (LoC), the Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) has taken a proactive step to assist affected residents. In a statement issued today, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi announced the launch of dedicated helpline numbers to support stranded individuals / families from the affected areas.


Expressing concern for the safety and well-being of the people residing near the LoC, Inam Un Nabi stated, "AIP remains committed to standing by the people during these testing times. Given the escalated cross-border tensions, our party has set up helpline numbers to ensure that those in need receive immediate assistance and support."

The helplines have been made available for residents from Karnah, Machill, Keran, Jumagand, Uri, Gurez, Tulail, Bagtore, Tangmarg, and Gulmarg. AIP has assigned specific contact persons for each area to facilitate swift and efficient help. The party has urged anyone requiring accommodation or any kind of aid to reach out to the designated numbers shared publicly.

Inam Un Nabi further emphasized, "AIP's commitment to the people is unwavering. We understand the challenges faced by the communities living in the border regions, and we will do our utmost to provide every possible help."

The initiative has been taken under the guidance of incarcerated AIP President and Member of Parliament from Baramulla, Er Rashid, who has always stood for the welfare of the people, especially those living in vulnerable and conflict-prone areas.

This initiative by AIP aims to alleviate the hardships faced by the residents of LoC areas during this period of heightened tension.(KNS)
