Bandipora, October 18 (KNS): Police conducted checking drives at medical shops, SIM card vendors and scrap dealers at multiple locations across Bandipora district to ensure compliance with prescribed rules and prevent unlawful activities.

According to police, medical shops were checked at Ganastan Nowgam, falling under Police Station Sumbal, and Gundachina, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Aragam.

SIM card vendors were checked at Nadihal, under Police Station Aragam, and Hajin. Police teams examined relevant records and stressed the need to maintain proper documentation of SIM card sales and customer details in accordance with applicable rules.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Scrap dealers were also checked at Ganastan Nowgam, Gundachina and Hajin. During the drive, police examined transaction records and emphasised the importance of maintaining proper documentation of scrap materials to prevent the handling or disposal of stolen property.

Police said the drives were aimed at monitoring the activities of these establishments, ensuring regulatory compliance and preventing potential misuse.

J&K Police reiterated their commitment to maintaining public order and security and urged all concerned establishments to cooperate with police during such checking drives. (KNS)
