Jammu, Oct 18 (KNS): The Jammu Division of Northern Railway is conducting regular cleanliness activities under the ‘Swachhata Abhiyan 2026’ at major railway stations to provide passengers with a clean, safe and hygienic environment.

The campaign covers busy stations, including Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Pathankot Cantt, Pathankot Junction and Banihal.

As part of the initiative, intensive cleaning of railway premises, platforms, tracks and passenger waiting rooms is being carried out using modern machines.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSenior officers are also conducting regular monitoring and surprise inspections to assess cleanliness arrangements.

Passenger awareness activities are being conducted through loudspeakers and posters, urging people to avoid single-use plastic and dispose of waste in designated dustbins.

The Jammu Division Railway Administration has appealed to passengers and other railway users to cooperate with the campaign and contribute towards maintaining cleanliness across railway premises. (KNS)
