Srinagar September 23 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Friday said that political void in Kashmir has deepened the woes of people, saying only NC can offer a road map for the future of Jammu and Kashmir.

This was said by Provincial Vice President Ahsan Pardesi while presiding  over a meeting of party's local unit functionaries at Zewan block Khanmouh Srinagar.

He said the lingering absence of democratic setup has sunk every vital sector be it economy, agriculture or governance. "Real issues are people's issues, their dignity, their identity, their day to day issues. There can be no trade off between our people's dignity and their developmental aspirations. Both have to go hand in hand. The enormity of the responsibility can only be shouldered by NC. We have a clear vision and deep rooted presence in every region. It is not for the first time that NC would be securing the region to safer shores, we have done so in every decade,"he said.

BJP's maneuvers in Jammu and Kashmir have left the people in lurch,  nothing is going to bail them out as the people have made a point to punish them through their votes. "During DDC elections, people made it a point to come out and show their detestation for the policies pursued by the BJP. The need of the hour is to maintain the tempo and stepup the public outreach. It is imperative for our halqa, block and muhalla level functionaries to guide people at this crucial juncture,"he added.

On the fight for restoration of Articles 370,35-A , Ahsan said that the articles are the point of faith for the party and it will continue with its democratic, legal and political battle to have it restored.
Ahsan Pardesi was accompanied by block vice president Haji gh mohd bhat, secy Nayeem Ahmed, ync vp central Zone fazil Bhat, block youth president YNC nisar Ahmed, Halqa president reyaz Ahmed and Ali Mohd Mir.(KNS)
