Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government has reconstituted the Implementation Committee for Digital Agriculture (Agristack) to enhance coordination and oversight of digital farming initiatives in the Union Territory.
As per an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the committee will be headed by the Administrative Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department and will comprise 13 members from key departments including Information Technology, Revenue, Rural Development, and the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
This move updates a previous order from 2022 and aims to speed up the adoption of digital infrastructure in agriculture.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelMembers from the J&K e-Governance Agency, Economics and Statistics, Land Records, and Agriculture Departments of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions have also been included.
The Project Director of Agristack, who is also the Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department, has been named a member. The Director Agriculture Jammu will serve as the committee's Member Secretary.
The revamped committee is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening agricultural governance, planning, and service delivery across the region.(KNS)
