Aga Syed Hassan demands release of detained youth, warns of protests

Expresses concern over alleged harassment and arrests, urges authorities to address grievances before public resentment deepens

Budgam, Oct 30 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian President Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi on Friday demanded the immediate release of detained youth and an end to alleged harassment and arrests, warning that protests could be launched if the authorities failed to address the concerns.

Addressing the Friday congregation at Markazi Imam Bargha in Budgam, Aga Syed Hassan expressed serious concern over what he described as the continued pursuit, harassment and detention of young people following the reported killing of Syed Ali Khamenei.

He alleged that several youth had been subjected to harassment and arrests since the incident and urged the concerned authorities to immediately halt such actions.

Aga Syed Hassan said the continued detention of youth was causing growing concern among families and the wider community, stressing that grievances should be addressed through justice and accountability rather than coercive measures.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Issuing a warning, he said that if the situation remained unchanged and the detained youth were not released, a decision would be taken to launch street protests against what he termed brutality and injustice.

“The grievances of the people must be heard, and their concerns addressed through justice and accountability. Continued silence and inaction will only deepen public resentment,” he said.

He reiterated his appeal to the authorities to intervene without further delay, stop the alleged harassment and ensure the release of detained youth.

Aga Syed Hassan maintained that timely action was necessary to address public concerns and prevent further resentment over the detentions. (KNS)
