Srinagar, Aug 25(KNS): Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Monday said that under the Jammu and Kashmir government's flagship scheme Mission Yuva, the district has received approximately 3,500 applications from entrepreneurs across nano and micro categories.
Speaking to KNS, he said that around 250 of these applications were approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) within a short period and were forwarded to Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
He added that the bank has sanctioned around 500 of these applications so far. He also said that 250 sanction letters were distributed about 10–15 days ago, and another round of 250 letters has been distributed now.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said another program will be held soon to distribute more sanction letters.
On being asked about those who have not yet applied under the scheme, he said that interested individuals should visit the Mission Yuva website to understand the benefits being offered by the government in the form of credit and interest subvention.
He added that the district administration of Srinagar is also available to support entrepreneurs in establishing their enterprises. He said that applications will be processed in a time-bound and transparent manner, and eligible applicants will be recommended to the bank.(KNS).
