Srinagar ,Aug 25 (KNS) : Ravinder Pal Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir, conducted special counseling sessions for individuals found indulging in stunt driving. These individuals, whose videos of dangerous stunts had been circulating on various social media platforms, were earlier apprehended by Mujahid Nazir, DySP Traffic Baramulla-Kupwara.
The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Traffic Police to curb reckless driving and street stunts, which pose a serious risk to both riders and the general public.
During the sessions, the Traffic Police also invited parents to participate, emphasizing that parental negligence and the pursuit of social media fame are among the major causes behind the rise in stunt biking/driving incidents.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAuthorities further reiterated that in such cases, action under relevant sections of law is also initiated against parents and vehicle owners.
Speaking on the occasion, as per KNS, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravinder Pal Singh urged parents, guardians, and motorists not to allow students or young individuals to engage in stunt driving. He highlighted that this menace can only be eradicated with the active cooperation of the general public, and collective responsibility is essential for ensuring road safety.
The Traffic Police has reaffirmed its commitment to continue awareness, enforcement, and counseling initiatives to safeguard lives and promote responsible driving practices across Kashmir.(KNS)
