Srinagar, Jun 01 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Zaffar Iqbal Manhas on Wednesday while terming the budget 2016-17 presented by the finance minister, Dr Haseeb A Drabu as the long term budget said that for the first some historic steps were taken.
PDP legislator during the debate said, “I support the budget presented by the finance minister of the state as some of the historic steps were taken in the budget.”
He said that the steps over transparency over casual labourers, provisional and GP fund of the employees and “most important, which was the path breaking step taken by the finance minister is Water Resources Department will be created which will be responsible for planning and management of all water resources, including lakes and rivers, of the State.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“I believe that the budget presented by Hasseb A Drabu is long term budget. We need to appreciate finance minister for considering such kind of steps in the budhet 2016-17,” Manhas said. (KNS)
