Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS): Accusing that the judiciary has failed to deliver justice, father of Wamiq Farooq Tuesday set ablaze his son’s case file and said that he will also set ablaze himself if justice will not be delivered.
While addressing presser here at outside the court premises, Farooq Ahmad Wani, father of Wamiq Farooq—a class 7th student who was hit by a police teargas shell on his head during the 2010 mass unrest in Kashmir set ablaze the case file of his son to mark a protest against session judiciary.
“Judiciary has miserably failed to deliver justice in my son’s case. While the hearing of case was going on, Judge told me that we don’t have much time to waste with this case and I am going to bail those policemen found guilty of culpable homicide in the case,” he said.
He said that how come a judge can say that they have no time to look into it. “I am following every procedure like I am being advised but despite that the judiciary seems reluctant to deliver justice.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelI am waiting with a hope of justice since last four years but nothing has been done in this regard,” Wani said.
He further stated that arrest of policemen, accused in the case brought a ray of hope among him. “The court has clearly ordered fresh non-bailable warrant against the accused but in today’s hearing, the ‘deplorable’ behavior of judiciary disappoints me,” he said.
He said that until the justice will not be delivered, he won’t give up. “In case, judiciary will again fail to deliver Justice then I will set ablaze myself too like I set ablaze the case file,” he said.
Pertinently, Wamiq Farooq—a class 7th student who was hit by a police teargas shell on his head during the 2010 mass unrest in Kashmir while on December 2 of this year, two cops, Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Khaliq and SPO Muhammad Akram, were found guilty of culpable homicide were send to judicial custody.
