Jammu, Jan 16 (KNS): MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani staged a walkout over the nonpayment of wages and discriminatory fund release procedure for MNREGA scheme.
According to the KNS correspondent, alleging that against pending liability of Rs. 9 crores during last two years, Vikar said the government has released just 64 lakhs but crores of rupees were released for the same scheme to clear the liabilities.
Accusing the government of misappropriating funds in implementation of MNREGA scheme, Vikar Rasool said massive funds have been misappropriated in painting of hoardings and other MNREGA works.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Demanding an immediate probe to investigate the bungling, Vikar Rasool threatened to quit if his charges are not proved by any independent probe agency. He also accused the government of transferring three BDOs in one of the blocks of his constituency in just a span of few months.
Minister for Rural Development Department Abdul Haq Khan threatened to quit if MLA Vikar Rasool proves his allegations with substantial evidences. (KNS)
