Srinagar, June 06 (KNS): Cautioning the government to focus of improvement in the health sector of state and to provide basic health care facilities at peoples door step chief whip of the congress party and MLA from Banihal constituency Vikar Rasool Wani informed the house that health sector of the country and Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed tremendous progress during health ministerial tenure of former chief minister and Union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Vikar Rasool while terms Azad’s tenure as golden era of the history said that Ghulam Nabi Azad as union health has worked tirelessly for bringing revolution in health sector of Jammu and Kashmir by increasing the Central allocation of grants to J&K from 200 to 400 crores and minimize the state share for central sponsored schemes from 25 percent to 10 percent as well as medical seats allocation from 50 to 100 to the all three Medical colleges of our state.
Vikar Rasool added that if we focus on the affection of Azad towards development of J&K the best example of his whole hearted support to this poor state is that he sanctioned 5 Medical colleges, 5 cancer institutions of his focus was on this sector and he had ensured all required financial assistance for the improvement of this sector.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Vikar Rasool further added that if we recall the contribution of Azad as union minister sanctioning of two maternity hospitals, Ayurvedic hospital at Jammu and Unani hospital at Srinagar, 700 new medical sub centers, funds of worth Rs thousands of crores to build up the health infrastructure in every knock and corner of the state such as District hospital building in every new and old District Hospitals, Sub District hospitals and other health institution and legislator while expressing his views on the shortage of health care facilities in the far flung areas of state said that people can't forget the contribution of Azad in polishing health sector like providing Stephen transport facilities to pregnant ladies and asha workers as he did in other fields as chief minister.
Vikar Rasool demand staff for all NTPHC's and old PHC of Nowgam, Alinbas, Neel, Ramsu, Dardahi, Pogal, Buzla and Senabati.
He added that Banihal Sub District hospital has huge record of accidental and OPD patients and it needs great focus of the government by creating post of ENT, Eye specialist and general physician besides upgradation of PHC Khari and Ukerhaal to the level of CHC. (KNS)
