Srinagar, Nov 25 (KNS): Senior journalist and former Kashmir interlocutor, Dileep Padgaonkar passed away on Friday morning in Pune.
The veteran journalist, 72, was a former editor of The Times of India.
He was admitted to the Ruby Hospital on November 18 following a massive heart attack.
Later, he suffered multiple organ failure and was on dialysis after his kidneys stopped functioning.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He began his career in journalism at the age of 24 and joined Times of India as its Paris correspondent after receiving a doctorate in humanities from the Sorbonne in June 1968.
Padgaonkar served as its editor for six years from 1988. From 1978 to 1986, he worked with UNESCO in Bangkok and Paris. Recently he was among the Kashmir interlocutors appointed by the UPA. (KNS)
