Cautions people about BJP’s political exploitation

Machil (Kupwara) July 30 (KNS):  Under BJP rule poor and downtrodden sections are witnessing only hollow slogans and false promises, but the reality is that the BJP Govt at Centre has betrayed people and failed them on every count. Far flung and backward areas in J&K are most neglected in every respect be it the employment, be it the development or be it other privileges people deserve.

In absence of the democratic setup people are facing hardships. Unfortunately, the Centre Govt has handed over J&K to a few Bureaucrats after abandoning people of their democratic rights.

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Vikar Rasool Wani made these comments while addressing a public gathering in  Machil area of North Kashmir. Wani was accompanied by Senior Party Leaders G.N.Monga (Ex.MLC), Mohd Anwar Bhat, DDC Member Imtiyaz Ahmad Khnday, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Mir Ruvais, Abdul Wahab, Dr.Gh.Nabi Lone, Gulsher Khan, Bashir Ahmad Khan,Firdous Wani, Arshid Ahmad Tantray, Showket Ahmad and various  other party leaders of Kupwara district.

Addressing the gathering, JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani cautioned the people especially STs, Pahari’s SCs, OBCs about BJP’s designs of dividing and using them for electoral gains, whilst the Modi Govt at Centre has failed to deliver on every count. BJP’s endeavors to play Pahari, ST and Hindu Muslim Card for the lust of power is highly condemnable and should work as an eye opener for the public. Apparently, J&K is under assault since the Modi Govt assumed power at Centre, JKPCC Chief said.

He appealed to people especially those living in border and far flung areas not to fall prey to deceitful policies, as that, BJP has always played with their emotions and used them for power.

Referring to the development of far flung and backward areas, Wani expressed  surprise over the claims being made by the Govt  day in and day out and termed these as hollow and baseless, adding that the developmental process started in J&K  by consecutive UPA Govts has received severe setbacks, mere official handouts and inauguration of already sanctioned projects by UPA won’t hide  the reality and the failures and mismanagement of the Govt, though  Govt is hell bent upon to mislead people on development and employment fronts, but matter of the fact is that J&K has been pushed to wall with the result people are confronted  with economic distress, extreme unemployment and lack of development.

JKPCC Chief assured the people of Machil and other backward areas that the Congress Party shall continue to fight for their rights and deliverance of justice. It will always be the Party’s endeavor to reach out to people in the nook and corner of J&K to address their concerns. We have served the people and we will continue to serve them, as that, Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people, which strongly believes in strengthening and serving people equally.

Addressing the gathering G.N.Monga questioned the delay in holding elections in J&K and  said in absence of the elected Govt  people are feeling isolated and unheard at every appropriate forum. There is a disconnect being witnessed between the people and administration, which has to be addressed and for that matter the solution lies in restoration of democratic system in J&K.

Senior Congress Leader Mohd Anwar Bhat also addressed the gathering and urged the people to support Congress party for their better future.(KNS)
