Jammu, Feb 4 (KNS): Two terrorists were neutralised in a joint counter-terrorism operation by the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF in the Jophar forest area of Basantgarh in Udhampur district, officials said.
The operation, codenamed Operation Kiya, was launched by troops of the Army’s White Knight Corps based on specific intelligence inputs provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. A cordon was laid and the area was effectively dominated to prevent the terrorists from escaping.

Contact with the terrorists was established on Monday and they were prevented from breaking contact, the Army said.
Following a coordinated response, two terrorists were neutralised, officials added. The operation has been concluded successfully, and the area remains under surveillance.(KNS).
