Srinagar, June 27 (KNS): Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmad Gurezi Monday directed the government to remove the IAS officer, after a middle-rung officer was transferred from sensitive posting in Kashmir.
The issue was raised by PDP MLA Javid Mustafa Mir in the Legislative Assembly today.
Mir said the IAS officer who attempted suicide has been transferred from the sensitive posting.
“But what about the other IAS officer? He is holding a sensitive posting. He is heading the department from which we all get education. This incident has raised suspicion on other officers too. If one has done something wrong but fingers are also being raised on others. Mir asked the government whether the police has registered FIR into this incident.
On this Deputy Speaker Nazir Gurezi directed the government to transfer the officer.
“Drabu Sahab, remove this IAS officer immediately from this department of which 50 percent employees are women,” Gurezi said.
The government on Sunday had transferred the IAS officer who reportedly attempted suicide few days ago.
Government took serious note after the PDP lawmaker Javid Mustafa Mir on Saturday raised the issue in the Legislative Assembly. (KNS)
