Srinagar, Oct 17 (KNS): Director Tourism Kashmir Syed Qamar Sajjad on Saturday convened a meeting with tourism stakeholders to review preparations for the third edition of the Kashmir Marathon, scheduled to be held on October 25.

Representatives of various tourism associations participated in the meeting and discussed arrangements related to participant facilitation, route management, refreshment points, safety measures and coordination among stakeholders.

The Director outlined the plan for the event and stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure its smooth and successful conduct.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club, Nigeen Tourist Traders Association, Ecotourism Association of Kashmir, Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir, Travel Agents Society of Kashmir, Houseboat Owners Association, Travel Agents Association of North Kashmir and other tourism bodies.

The Director reiterated the department's commitment to organising the event in a professional manner with the active participation of tourism stakeholders.

The Kashmir Marathon is expected to promote the region's scenic beauty and hospitality while strengthening its potential as a destination for sports tourism.(KNS)
