Three LeT OGW's arrested as Police solved Langate Grenade Attack

Srinagar, Aug 27(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have solved grenade attack case Langate area of Hundwara in North kashmir's Kupwara district and arrested three militant Lashkar-e-Tobia over ground workers OGW's. 

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the police said that during investigation of the case of Grenade attack on CRPF Camp Langate , in the evening of 26 Aug 2021, on the basis of reliable input from JKP, Handwara a joint CASO was launched by parties including 30 RR & SOG, Handwara and during detailed search of houses, one OGW identified as Ishfaq Ah Dar son of Wali Mohd Dar of Shatpora Mohalla, Langate was apprehended. 

"On his disclosure the Joint CASO team recovered Arms and Ammunition from his possession. On further interrogation involvement of 02 more OGWs identified as Jamsheed Ah Shah son of Sunallaha Shah Chak Mohalla, Langate and Javed Ah Khan son of Late Farooq Ah Khan of Asthan Mohalla, Langate came forth and they were also apprehended along with Arms and ammunition, " it said. 

The police said that during detailed interrogation, it was revealed that all three OGWs were associated with LeT Tanzeem and were involved in supporting the terrorist activities and accepted their involvement into the Grenade Attack Incident at Langate on 16 Aug 2021. 

"All three OGWs have been booked under IPC Section 307 and Explosive Substances Act Section 3/4 of FIR No 260/2021 dated 16 Aug 2021 of PS Handwara," reads the police statement. (KNS)
