Terrorist hideout busted in Kupwara Forests: Police

Kupwara, Apr 12 (KNS): Security forces have busted a terrorist hideout in the Forest area of Gangbugh Sogam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered large quantity of war like stores.


The police in a statement said that "On 12-04-2024, based on specific information/input related to presence of a terrorist hideout in the Forest area of Gangbugh (Sogam) Forest, a joint CASO was launched by JKP, BSF, Army 28 RR and 162 BN CRPF in the said area"

"During the search operation, a terrorist hideout was busted out in which containing large quantity of war like stores has been recovered," the police said.

"This operation has delivered a major blow to the nefarious designs of PaK based terrorist groups who have always aspired to disturb the peace and tranquillity in Kashmir valley. In this context a formal case has been registered in PS Sogam and investigation has been taken up," the police added.(KNS)
