Srinagar, Jan 31 (KNS): Several student delegations on Tuesday called on the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah at his Sanat Nagar residence here. Party representatives from Pulwama, Tral, and Shopian also visited the Freedom Party headquarters.
As per a statement issued to KNS, Shabir Ahmad Shah while interacting with delegations stressed on the need to create mass awareness about election boycott and the anti-movement policies of pro-India politicians in the state.
Shah hailed the sacrifices of the people of Pulwama, Shopian, and Tral during the ongoing Intifada. He asked delegations to spread the word that “we won’t forget those innocent children who were martyred, blinded, and maimed by the state government”.
Commenting on resistance leadership’s endeavours towards finding a justifiable solution to the Kashmir dispute, Shah said, “We are moving towards our goal with the support of people and need of the hour is to exhibit consistency and steadfastness”.

The DFP chairman added, “We have to honour the sacrifices of our martyrs. Our youth laid down their precious lives in 2008, 2010, and 2016 making it clear to India that it can never enslave us by military might. Our children were blinded in 2016 and we must realise that we have nothing to do with this sham election process and should start anti-election campaigns.”
Shah said students are future and asset of the nation and are tasked with more responsibilities to aware people about each and every anti-Kashmir policy. “Students are the frontrunners of the freedom struggle. The world is supporting our cause.”
Hailing the political, moral, and diplomatic support of Pakistan, Shah said this country has always been our well-wisher. (KNS)
