Demands release of recently arrested students

Srinagar, Dec 13 (KNS): Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) and senior Hurriyat leader, Shabir Ahmad Shah Sunday paid glowing tribute to Sofi Muhammad Akbar on his 28th anniversary, saying the pro-freedom leader strongly rejected the Indira-Abdullah Accord of 1975.
In a statement to KNS, Shah also expressed concern over the arrest of Saliq Ahmad Shah and his mother in Sopore, saying the Mufti-led government in the state doesn’t even spare our mothers and sisters and condemned the fresh arrest spree launched across the valley.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
While demanding immediate release of the students who were arrested in Hajin, Sopore, Pulwama and Pampore, Shah said, “The arrested students were shifted from one police station to other and are now lodged at Zadibal police station. Their parents are roaming through police stations across Srinagar since last week and have suffered heavily,” he said.
Shah further warned authorities of serious consequences if the arrested students would not be released at earliest. (KNS)
