Srinagar, Jul 13 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Shabir Ahmad Mir on Saturday expressed profound grief over the incident of fire at world famous ski-resort, Gulmarg.

He urged the authorities to ensure distribution of an interim compensation to the victims before a final assessment of their damages is conducted.

Shabir Mir, who would be contesting the upcoming assembly elections from Gulmarg as PDP candidate, urged the authorities for reconstruction of the shops so that the fire hit families are able to resume their day-to-day business.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

At least fifteen shops were gutted in a mysterious blaze that broke out in world famous ski-resort, Gulmarg on early Saturday morning.

Soon after the fire broke out, the fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire with the help of locals.

However, the 15 shops turned into ashes in the blaze. (KNS)
