Srinagar, Nov 30 (KNS): Locals of Soibug and adjoining areas of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday stated a protest against the government for transferring Exen Engineer Muhammad Aslam.
The villagers said that the work on flood channel from Rambagh to Shareefabad is ongoing and 75000 Kanals of agricultural land has also got damaged due to the work.
According to KNS correspondent, the locals said that after moving from pillar to post to seek redressal, the government had started work to ensure safety of properties of people, saying that Exen Muhammad Aslam was supervising the work on his own and is aware about nook and corner of Soibug and other 20-25 villages.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
However, the villagers said that while as the work is still ongoing, the Exen has been transferred by the authorities, which must be stopped forthwith for the well-being of residents of 25 villages.
They demanded authorities to look into the matter at an earliest and fulfill their demand so that the people could heave a sigh of relief. (KNS)
