Srinagar, Jan 19 (KNS): Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Yasir Reshi on Thursday accused National Conference (NC) of torching schools in Kashmir during the summer unrest 2016.
Replying to opposition NC's query during the Legislative Council (LC) today, Reshi said, “I believe that the torching of schools in the summer unrest 2016 was the well-planned conspiracy of NC . The schools are religious places and following the incidents of torching of schools, the government took several initiatives to put an end to such incidents.”

The MLC said that that it seems that NC was in the favor of burning down of school buildings. “Schools are like religious places as it is the place where we teach our children how to perform religious obligations in the religious places like masjid, temple and others,” he said.
Meanwhile, following the Reshi’s reply, Minister of State for Education Priya Sethi also replied to opposition's query.
However, the opposition couldn’t get satisfy over the replies and staged walk-out. (KNS)
