Appeals retailers, distributors to co-operate with department

Srinagar, Mar 20 (KNS): While the Union Health Ministry issued a notification, cracking the whip on 344 such medicines, commonly known as Fixed-Drug Combinations or FDCs, the Drug control department on Sunday said that all the higher officials have been directed to recall the combinations to conduct tests of nominated medicines.
Jammu and Kashmir Drug Controller, Lotika Khajuria told KNS that all the Deputy Drug Controller Jammu as well as Kashmir and Assistant Drug Controllers were instructed to rebook the banned drugs to conduct tests of these medicines. “We have taken initiatives in this regard and further will decided accordingly,” she said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
She said that the medicines which can prove harmful to the common people here will be looked into serious consideration. “I appeal Drug retailers as well as distributors to co-operate with the department for the wellbeing of people. The retailers and distributors should rebook the said combinations soon,” she said.
She further said that the strict action would be taken against the persons involved in selling the banned drugs. (KNS)
