Reports of three working groups discussed in detail

 Srinagar, 24 July(KNS): A meeting of the party’s War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) Committee was today held at JKNC headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar under the chairmanship of  senior leader Abdul Rahim Rather.

The three working groups, constituted earlier on the subject, submitted their reports today which were discussed threadbare in the meeting. 

The committee also heard the views and the experiences of a prominent expert who is currently working in the same field.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri, Imran Nabi Dar, Showkat Mir, Syed Tauqeer, Shafqat Watali and Dr Mohammad Shafi.

 The committee will again meet on 26th July which is expected to be attended by JKNC Vice President Omar Abdullah. 

It is germane to mention that the 11 member WADA committee headed by Senior leader and former finance minister Abdul Rahim Rather is mandated to delve into various dimensions of the rising menace of drug abuse in J&K, and devise an effective plan of action to tackle it.(KNS).
