Tangmarg, Oct 17 (KNS): The Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department on Saturday launched a drive against unauthorised advertisement boards and hoardings along the Narbal–Tangmarg road in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, officials said.

The drive was conducted by R&B Sub-Division Kunzer under the supervision of Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Shabir Ahmad Parray, with assistance from the police.

Officials said the drive targeted advertisement boards and hoardings installed by shopkeepers and business establishments on road berms and electricity poles.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

They said the initiative was aimed at improving road safety, preventing encroachments and keeping the roadside clear of unauthorised structures.

The department has directed shopkeepers and business establishments to remove all unauthorised hoardings, warning that failure to comply would invite action under the rules. (KNS)
