Srinagar, Sep 23 (KNS): According to the spokesman of JKLF (H) special prayers were held today at different mosques and shrines of Valley for the Front chairman and senior Hurriyat leader Javaid Ahmad Mir who on Monday arrived in Srinagar after undergoing through both eye surgeries at Venu Eye Institute & Research Centre Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi.
In a statement issued to KNS said that apart from some sight problems due to the interrogations in 90’s, Javaid Mir is facing retinal detachment in both eyes, however, today left eye was operated whereas right eye was operated before a couple of days. This is the 3rd time in two years Javaid Mir has undergone through eye surgery; recently he was operated in March 04, 2014.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Earlier Eye Specialist in Kashmir Dr Bashir Ahmad had advised Javaid Mir for an emergency operation, saying otherwise it can lead to complete blindness. He was later released from house arrest and went to Delhi for immediate surgery.
Meanwhile a large number of people from different shades of society including students, Journalists today visited Javaid Mir and inquired about his health and prayed for his speedy recovery.
Prayers were held on the occasion of Friday congregational prayers for Javaid Mir at different Masjids and Khankhaes including Dasil Masjid, Gagar Masjid, Iqra Masjid and Haji Masjid. (KNS)
