Prashant Kishor to visit Kashmir, meet youth leaders

Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNS): India’s political strategist Prashant Kishor is set to visit the Kashmir Valley from February 2 to 5, 2026, during which he will engage with students, youth leaders, and young professionals across party lines.

The visit follows Kishor’s recent meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) National Convenor Nasir Khuehami, where a roadmap for youth engagement in the region was discussed.

As part of the programme, Kishor will participate in a Youth Interaction Programme on February 2 at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, organised by JKSA. The event aims to provide a platform for dialogue, mentorship, and constructive engagement among students and youth leaders.

During his stay, Kishor is scheduled to hold interactive sessions in Srinagar, Bandipora, Baramulla, and other areas, focusing on political discourse, democratic participation, governance challenges, and leadership development.

The sessions aim to bridge gaps in exposure for Kashmiri youth in areas such as public policy, political communication, campaign strategy, governance reforms, data analytics, voter behaviour research, and grassroots mobilisation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Khuehami said the visit is intended to provide national-level exposure and practical insights into democratic institutions and governance processes. He added that several political leaders and MLAs have requested meetings, and Kishor will also interact with high-profile leaders during his visit.

Kishor, who has led major election campaigns for the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, Members of Parliament, Union Ministers, and political parties across India, emphasises ethical leadership, evidence-based policymaking, and youth participation in democracy.

He is expected to share insights on career pathways, election management, survey-based research, campaign war-room functioning, messaging strategies, and policy execution.

The visit is seen as an opportunity for Kashmiri youth to engage with one of India’s foremost political minds, strengthen their confidence, and participate in informed, issue-based dialogue beyond partisan lines.

Organisers said the initiative seeks to encourage responsible participation of young people in governance, nation-building, and democratic public life.(KNS).
