All detainees must be released at earliest: Malik

Srinagar, Dec 02 (KNS): Police on Friday detained chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik after he tried to march towards Budshah Chowk to stage a protest in solidarity with the prisoners languishing in different jails across the state.
According to JKLF leader, as soon as Malik tried to march towards Budshah Chowk, police swung into action and detained an amalgam chief.
He said that Malik was lodged at Kothi Bagh Police Station.
Earlier talking to reporters, Malik expressed concern over the plights of prisoners and demanded their immediate release.
“The prisoners who are languishing in different jails across the state have no facilities thereby their health condition is deteriorating with each passing day,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Malik said when he was arrested a few days back he saw the prisoners in the jail and experienced their sufferings. “Anyone who will visit the persons languishing in different jails across the state would see the plights which prisoners are facing,” he said.
He said all the political prisoners who have been detained must be released as the every person has right to take streets to fight for their demands in a democratic way. (KNS)
