Srinagar, Jul 11 (KNS): Expressing grief over the loss of lives from past three days, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief, G A Mir on Monday appealed people to maintain peace in the Valley.
Addressing a news conference, Mir expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and said that the people of Kashmir are expressing their resentment against the present coalition government in the state. “PDP-BJP government is power hungry and can’t do good governance at all,” he said.
He said that instead of resorting to firing, there are also democratic ways to control the ongoing protests. “It seems that non-technical force personnel were deputed to control the situation as the mob controlling way was not implemented.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt seems that the force personnel deputed to control the situation were not briefed before thereby resulted in such kind of situation,” he said.
Mir said that there are several reasons behind resentment of the people against the present coalition government which include unemployment, hollow promises, forging an alliance with BJP.
He said that the government has failed to make medicines and blood available in the Valley hospitals to save the precious lives of the youth. “I appeal to the government to make medicines available and blood available in the state,” he said.
Mir further appealed people especially youth to maintain peace in the Valley as the loss of lives can’t be compensated. (KNS)
