Srinagar, Aug 12 (KNS): Felicitating Pakistan on the Independence Day, Jammu Kashmir's incarcerated pro-freedom leader and Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah said the Islamic Republic of Pakistan enjoys a greater significant position in the Muslim World and is the "backbone of Muslim Ummah”.
Felicitating the Government of Pakistan, its people, civil society, political, social, religious and military leadership on Pakistan Day, Shabir Ahmad Shah, who is languishing in police station, said, “Pakistan is the lasting hope" of Muslim Ummah and a caretaker for all the oppressed and subjugated Muslims of the world.”
Commenting over the changing global political scenario, Shah said the Muslim countries of the world are "duty-bound" to "secure the interests of Pakistan" and "rise to the protection and security of this nation”, keeping in view its centrality and vital role it is playing as a Muslim nation.
"Due to its stand on truth, the country fell to so many internal and external conspiracies of which 'Fall of Dhaka' was an open example. It is imperative upon Muslim nations to, instead of getting divided and disintegrated, unite under the banner of Islamic Republic of Pakistan," Shah said.
Terming Pakistan as "vision of Allama Iqbal" and "dream of Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah", Shabir Ahmad Shah said the nation always raised voice in favour of oppressed and subjugated Muslims across the world and the undeterred role it played with regard to Kashmiris' fight for self-determination is hidden from none.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
"Pakistan's unflinching support to Kashmiris on political, moral and diplomatic fronts is laudable and we hope that it will continue to support us with same spirit and steadfastness. We are proud of having a nation like nuclear Pakistan as our well-wisher," he said, adding, “We hope Pakistan will always prioritise Kashmir in talks with India.”
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah criticised the “puppet” state administration for imposing continuous curfew and banning of Friday prayers at various places in the Valley saying such approach exposed the so-called government’s claims of providing religious freedom to people.
“Such situation is intolerable. Now the puppet government is dictating terms to religious clerics and speakers. This is a direct interference in the religious affairs. The Imams and Khateebs have always played a vital role in the freedom movement and they shouldn’t succumb to such pressures of authorities but should discharge their duties without any hesitation,” Shah said.
