Omar questions silence of PM Modi over 'systematic' attacks on Kashmiris

Srinagar, Feb 21 (KNS): Reacting over the silence maintained by Prime
Minister Narendra Modi, former chief minister and National Conference (NC) Vice President, Omar Abdullah Thursday said he failed to understand the priorities of incumbent Prime Minister.
Addressing a news conference here at a local hotel in Sonwar, Omar said PM Modi didn’t utter a single word over the systematic attacks on Kashmiris outside the Valley. “PM Modi has remained tightlipped over systematic attacks on Kashmiris while he made a statement claiming those criticizing the train will be punished,” he said, adding that “I fail to understand the priories of PM Modi.”
Omar also said the party would knock the doors of court in case the decision to withdraw security cover of mainstream politicians is not revisited.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said withdrawing security from pro-freedom was the decision of government, that is upto them to decided what they have to do but “as I have also mentioned it in a tweet that decision to withdraw security from mainstream politicians must be revisited.”
Omar added the decision in no doubt has been taken without taking in to consideration inputs from central and intelligence agencies. “Likely or unlikely, the government has to ensure security to the mainstream politicians,” he added. (KNS)
