Interacts with public delegations at Nawa-e-Subha; assures timely resolution of public issues
Srinagar, July 15 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar Tuesday asserted that the democratically elected government led by Omar Abdullah restored a culture of accountability and transparency in the administrative machinery of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sagar made these remarks while interacting with multiple public and individual delegations at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha. The visiting delegations flagged various pressing issues concerning public welfare and party affairs. Sagar gave a patient hearing and assured swift redressal of their concerns through appropriate channels.
During the interactions, the current political scenario and public issues were discussed in detail.
Highlighting the achievements of the Omar Abdullah-led government, Sagar said, “One of the greatest accomplishments of Omar Sahib’s tenure is bringing the administration closer to the people. He added, “The previous administrative setup, functioning without an elected mandate, had grown increasingly detached from ground realities. Today, under Omar Sahib’s democratic leadership, the corridors of power have been opened to the common citizen. The sense of alienation is being addressed, and people feel seen and heard.”
Reiterating the party’s unwavering commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Sagar said, “J&K National Conference remains devoted to representing the genuine aspirations of the people and raising their concerns in every forum. Things will only improve further when statehood is restored in its entirety, and the people regain their democratic voice.”
Sagar urged party workers to intensify grassroots engagement and remain steadfast in their service to the people.(KNS)
