Srinagar, Apr 02 (KNS): While expressing the serious concern over the boys in bulk joining militancy, Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah blames chief minister Mehbooba Mufti for the rise in militancy in Valley.
He said that this trend of young boys joining militant ranks emerged after the killing of Hizbul Mujahidin Commander Burhan Wani.
“@MehboobaMufti’s biggest & least talked about failure has been the massive jump in the numbers of young Kashmiri men joining the ranks of militant organisations,” Omar wrote on Microblogging site Twitter.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In the series of tweets since the gun battles at three different places in Shopian and Anantnag started on Sunday, Omar tweeted “Of the 12 confirmed dead, I understand 11 are local Kashmiris & (and) the identity of the 12th is being ascertained, not one so far is a foreign terrorist. Is no one in a position of power in Delhi alarmed by this because I certainly am!”
Burhan Wani was killed in an encounter with security forces on 8 July 2016, triggered massive protests and prolonged period of curfews and shutdowns across the Valley. (KNS)
