Srinagar, April 15 (KNS): Complete shutdown is being observed in Kashmir against the fresh killing of a Class 11 in Nutnusa village in Kupwara on Friday afternoon, while curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in parts of the Srinagar city and Kupwara by the authorities.
An 18-year-old, Class 11 student, Arif Hussain Dar of Awoora, Kupwara, was killed yesterday by army in Nutnusa during demonstrations against the killing of four civilians in Kupwara district before yesterday.
While police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in Srinagar and other major towns to thwart protests, shops, schools, business units have been shut by the people as a mark of protest.

Mobile internet services have been snapped by the government to block the dissemination of information about the incidents on social media.
All separatists groups have called for a day’s shutdown today against the killing of the student.
An 18-year-old youth, Arif Hussain Dar of Awoora, Kupwara, was killed yesterday by army in Nutnusa during demonstrations against the killing of four civilians in Kupwara district before yesterday.
So far five civilians, including an elderly woman, were killed in this week during protests against the alleged molestation of a girl in Handwara town by an army man. (KNS)
