Srinagar, Mar 09 (KNS): The nurses and paramedical staff of SMHS hospital on Thursday staged protest against the ‘deplorable behaviour’ of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the institute.
The nurses and paramedical staff assembled inside the hospital and chanted slogans against the CMO and demanded action against the officer.
According to KNS correspondent, the protesters said that the CMO’s behaviour towards the nurses and paramedical staff is ‘deplorable’. “We are not leaving any stone unturned for the patients but despite that, the officer continues to harass the staff for no reasons and talk with us aggressively,” they said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We have not committed any sin and are performing our duties with dedication. Instead of appreciating our role, the CMO is disrespecting us for no reasons,” they said.
They said that yesterday a nurse was also harassed by the CMO fort no reasons. “We appeal to the higher ups of the department to look into the matter and take action against the officer,” the protesting staff said.
Despite repeated attempts, the Chief Medical officer (CM) SMHS could not be contacted for the comments. (KNS)
