‘Re-militarization would have disastrous effect’

Srinagar, Aug 25 (KNS): National Students Union of India, Srinagar condemns the recent situation prevalent in the valley.
NSUI strongly condemns the recent occupation of educational institutions by the BSF troopers in Kashmir valley. While our education minister states that examinations would be held on time and requests parents to send their children to schools, his government has allowed BSF to occupy schools and college buildings.
NSUI stands in protest and in deep condemnation of militarization of educational institutes and requests the government to follow pro-people and pro-student policies.
Where there is need for demilitarization, re-militarization would have disastrous effect. NSUI Srinagar requests Chief Minister to have a change of policy towards the present situation, policy is a mere creed liable to change, when bad. These policies are in direct conflict with the interest of the state, in conflict with the interest of the people who elected you.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelNot only anti-state but in conflict of the national interest. You have flamed the anger that festers in the heart of Kashmiri people. It is not only those seeking “Aazadi”, but your policies have effected those nationalists also who sincerely have been trying to bridge the gap of alienation and gap of ideology prevalent among the youth of the valley. Your policies have thrown in vain all the work done to bring the Kashmiri youth on genuine mainstream platform. While your coalition partner says that youth of Kashmir should hold laptops not stones, you fail to understand and see the reality that youth of the valley already had laptops in their hands. It is your policies that forced them to take up stones —stones against bullets, pellets, harassment, stones against the treatment of Kashmiris as the second class citizens in their own homeland.
