NIA raids 11 locations in Kashmir in case linked to JeI

Srinagar, May 12 (KNS): The National Investigation Agency on Thursday raided 11 locations in the Kashmir Valley in a case linked to banned group Jamaat-i-Islami. 


An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the NIA sleuths along with police and CRFP raided at least 11 locations in Jamaat-i-Islami terror funding case. 

He said the raids were being conducted at several locations in Baramulla, Handwara and Budgam in the premises' of some Jamaat cadres and members. 

Notably, on May 4, the NIA conducted searches at the premises of Jamaat-e-Islami members and supporters at 16 locations, including 11 in district Baramulla and 5 locations in district Kishtwar. 

On Wednesday, the  NIA also seized property of 3 accused persons in two separate cases in Shopian and Pulwama districts. (KNS)
