Says Govt fails on all fronts

Srinagar, Sep 01 (KNS): Opposition party, National Conference (NC) on Thursday staged sit-in outside the civil secretariat and demanded immediate stop to the civilian killings in Kashmir.
The NC leaders led by its general secretary, Ali Muhammad Sagar assembled outside the civil secretariat and chanted anti-government slogans.
They were carrying placards displaying, Masoomu Ka Qatl Aam Band Karo (Stop innocent killings), Stop mass arrests, stop use of pellet guns and other slogans.
While talking to reporters during the protest, Sagar said, “The present coalition government has failed at all levels. The government which thanked Pakistan and militants after assuming the office is now abusing the same Pakistan.”
Sagar also called for talks with the Hurriyat and militants to resolve the Kashmir issue.
“Besides, Hurriyat, talks should be held also with those holding guns, which happened in past during the BJP government when L K Advani was the Deputy Prime Minister. Joint Secretary (Home) did talk with militants at a guest house in Cheshma Shahi,” he said.
While criticizing the central government for not stopping the use of pellet guns in Kashmir, Sagar said “the delegation of Unionist opposition leaders felt that pellets will be stopped soon after they met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi a few days back but they have failed and the committee formed by Home Minister has recommended continuation of it which is unfortunate.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”

However, police intercepted the protesters and deatined scores of leaders.
