Effort is to Make Srinagar Dal Lake Water Sports Capital: Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports

Srinagar, August 21 (KNS): Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, on Thursday said that efforts are being made to make Srinagar’s Dal Lake the capital for water sports activities.

Talking to the media here in Srinagar, she said that just as Jammu and Kashmir has become the capital of winter sports activities, the effort is to make Dal Lake the capital of water sports.

She said that these events should not remain limited only to our country but should reach the international level.

“Since our Honorable Prime Minister, through the Sports Policy, wants sports culture to reach every corner of the nation, we can also promote sports tourism here in Jammu and Kashmir, as this place is already famous for its beauty and nature,” she said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
