Srinagar, August 21 (KNS) : The 16th death anniversary of the prominent writer, poet, broadcaster, and comedian, late Ghulam Ali Majboor, was observed today at the Conference Hall of the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. The event was organized by Karam Buland Folk Theatre, Wathora Budgam to pay tribute to the literary and artistic legacy of the legendary personality.
In a statement issued, The function was presided over by eminent broadcaster and media personality Nisar Naseem, while renowned poet, scholar, and Special Secretary, Department of Planning and Development, Gulzar Shabnam, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

A galaxy of literary personalities, including Shabir Mujahid, Shafiq Qureshi, Mohammad Yousuf Shaheen, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, and Syed Shakeel Shan, attended the function and shared their memories, paying heartfelt tributes to the legendary figure.
The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing humorous Qawali, penned by the late poet, which captivated the audience and reflected Majboor’s unique creative brilliance.
The participants collectively hailed Ghulam Ali Majboor as a cultural icon whose works continue to inspire generations, leaving an indelible mark on the literary and artistic landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
