Taking strong dig at PDP-BJP government for adopting a tourism policy which can only benefit “few businessmen”, former minister and chairman Democratic Party Nationalist Ghulam Hasan Mir has said that common people earning their livelihood from the travel and tourism have been left to fend for themselves.
In a statement to KNS, Mir said that after the coalition government came to being tourism industry has been a worst hit. “People associated with tourism are waiting for visitors,” he said, asking government to make clear what is policy for tourism was.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said the tourism policy adopted by the government has only benefitted few businessmen and not the common people, who are losing their employment.
Mir questioned the intention of the government to lease out land to big hoteliers from outside the state and said “sale of Gulmarg wouldn’t be allowed to happen.” (KNS)
