Handwara, Sept 28 (KNS): A 6-year-old boy died after falling into an open pit in Prangroo village of Mawer in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday morning.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS), said that Hyder Iqbal (6) son of Mohammad Iqbal of Prangroo fell into the open pit and died when he was playing in his yard.

They said that soon after he fell into the pit, the family members retrieved him, but he had died on the spot.

Meanwhile, officials confirmed to KNS that the boy died after falling into the pit. (KNS)
