Anantnag, Jul 05 (KNS): Rajiv Khajuria member Selection Cum Oversight Committee (SCOC) inspected girls home Mattan, Anantnag run by social welfare department. He was accompanied by Dr. Tawheeda Makdomi CWC Chairperson, CWC member, PO IC, PO NIC and other DCPU staff.

Khajuria also interacted with the inmates and heard their issues while sensitizing the home Supdt., and staff about various guidelines laid down in Juvenile Justice Rules 2014.

He asked PO IC and DCPU team to ensure that all registers and records of the home shall be updated within fifteen days.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe called upon to strengthen children participation in the affairs of the home and asked to strengthen children group within the home.

Khajuria stressed upon the need to improve the ambience and infrastructure of the home.

He asked Supdt., to colour the walls and make them child friendly. He also felt the need of improving facilities for the inmates like providing individual lockers, more washrooms, toiletries, and recreational facilities. (KNS)
