Srinagar, Oct 16 (KNS): Legislators belonging to different categories have asked the government to take appropriate action over the High Court order of scrapping the Section 6 of Reservation Act, which provides reservation in promotion to category employees.
Legislators, Raja Manzoor, Asgar Ali Karbalai, Qamar Hussian, Aga Syed Baqir held a meeting to decide their future course of action against the court decision.
The three MLAs also called on Law Minister Syed Basharat Bukhari to express their concern and told him that the judgement will have repercussions on 60 lak people of the state who follow under different SC, ST and OBC categories.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They requested the minister that he should ask the departments concerned not to implement the order of the court and file SLP in Supreme Court against it.
The MLAs also met the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti over the issue. (KNS)
