Handwara, Mar 23 (KNS): A house was damaged due to incessant rains in Shatigam Village in Handwara on Saturday. Locals said due to incessant rains Syed Abdul Kabir Geelani’s house was damaged on Saturday last week.
After the incident, panic and fear gripped the area as landslides occurred at various places.
Residents said incessant rain has caused damaged to nearly five acres of agricultural land in the area.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey appealed government to rehabilitate them and alleged that the authorities, so far, had not paid any attention towards them.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Handwara Bashir Ahmad told KNS over phone that he has send a team of officials to file a report about the damage and will accordingly compensate the affected people. (KNS)
