Srinagar, April 4 (KNS): Saying that entrepreneurs drive the economy of the state, Vice Chairperson JK Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Dr Hina Bhat said they are eager to handhold unemployed youth for setting up their own ventures.
She said that during the financial year 2019-20, Rs 1210 lacs were released in favour of 498 unit holders which provide employment to almost 3000 youth of the state under J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP)
She added that GOI has approved budget of Rs 2500 lacs for the financial year 2020-21under JKREGP scheme.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
She urged all the aspiring entrepreneurs to apply online on JKREGP Web Portal @ WWW.JKKVIB.ORG.IN and benefit from the schemes.
Dr Hina said the aim of the JKREGP scheme is to harness and divert the the energy and enthusiasm of the youth of the state for establishment of the productive enterprise in micro industrial sector and to create employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas of the state.
She added that KVIB has taken various initiatives for technology advancement, skill development and job creation for the youth of the state.(KNS)
